Actually Lenggang Jakarta is already there, but the place was a mess and is not cool to hang out with friends at Lenggang Jakarta. The Jakarta Administration reorganizes Lenggang Jakarta to become an alternative place for hang out and also a place for tourists to buy souvenirs
In a hot and sunny Sunday, I traveled to Lenggang Jakarta to see the changes that occur. The nearest @CommuterLine station is Gondangdia. I walk through the Jakarta City Hall and then crossed the road in front of the National Library that is now is under construction.
The first impression I got was wow. I do not think if this place can be very clean and cool. With the cool signboard, Lenggang Jakarta tried to appear as an alternative shopping center in Jakarta.
In Lenggang Jakarta, there are a lot of food and drink to try; they do have clean toilets too. Just remember that you have to pay with the electronic money if you want to buy foods and drinks. You can purchase electronic money in cashiers and top up. For souvenirs, you still can buy with cash.
